Memorandum of Understanding signed between the aviation authorities of the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey
The Director General of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Dejan Mojsoski Ph.D. and the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Bilal Eksi, in Dubrovnik on 29 August 2014, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The purpose of the Document that was signed during the Sixty-Third (63rd) Annual Special Meeting of Directors General (DGCA (SP)/63) of the 44 ECAC Member States, is in respect of the strengthening of the regional cooperation in the area of civil aviation as well as improving efficiency and effectiveness in the application of the safety requirements laid down in the ECAA Agreement.
By signing of the Memorandum of Understanding both aviation authorities are strengthening the regional cooperation regarding the usage of the experts, expertise in certain aspects of the civil aviation as well as documentation. This Memorandum of Understanding also covers the areas of programs, examinations and licensing; flight operations and airports; airworthiness and register; search and rescue as well as the matters related to the National Supervisory Authorities – NSA and Air Navigation Services – ANS.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Turkish aviation authorities came as a result from the increased air traffic volume in respect of the scheduled and charter air carriers as well as the investments in the field of the civil aviation transport.
