Workshop on aviation safety and performance

The Civil Aviation Agency, informs you that starting from the 1st until the 3rd of March, in cooperation with ICAO and the European Commission will host a workshop on aviation safety and performance. The workshop is part of the project for implementation of the ISIS program for implementation of Single European Sky in South East Europe, supported by European Union, which, together with the aviation authorities in the region aims to achieve the highest standards in air industry.

Wizz Air flights from Skopje to London-Skopje

On February 15th, 2011, the Civil Aviation Agency of The Republic of Macedonia pre-approved Wizz Air flights from Skopje to London-Skopje. This decision by the CAA is in the direction of implementing the National Strategy for development of aviation in the Republic of Macedonia in order to attract (low cost) low-budget airlines, which, after a ten-year recess, will finally establish direct airline connection to London.
The entry of Wizz Air into the Macedonian market provides an opportunity to boost tourism and strengthen business relations between the two countries.

MAT Airways regular airline carrier of the Republic of Macedonia for the summer season 2011

On February 14, 2011, the Civil Aviation Agency designated MAT Airways in front of the Dutch aviation authorities as a regular airline carrier of the Republic of Macedonia for the summer season 2011, in accordance with the Agreement on regular air traffic signed between Macedonia and the Netherlands.
With this designation MAT Airways is entitled to operate from Macedonia to all airports in the Netherlands.
Increased frequency of flights and regular direct line between Skopje, Ohrid and Amsterdam is expected, which is particularly important for tourism, business travel and visit of relatives and friend; this in turn will strengthen the ties between the two friendly countries and further the integration of the Republic of Macedonia in the European Union.
