From October 16-18, 2023, the representatives of the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency paid a working visit to the Macedonian Civil Aviation Agency, which marked the official start of the implementation of the Twining Light project “Supporting the Civil Aviation Agency in the field of aviation safety and security”, financed by the EU in the amount of 250,000 euros.

The objective of the project in the Republic of North Macedonia is to provide expertise and assistance to the Macedonian civil aviation authorities in order to support the sustainable development of civil aviation in accordance with international standards and EU law in the field of civil aviation. The specific objective is to support the Civil Aviation Agency in developing and implementing the national civil aviation legal framework by enhancing the capacity for conducting safety and security oversight of civil aviation.

For the realization of the project, opinions and experiences were exchanged related to the achieved level of the implementation of international standards for the individual components that are subject of this project.
