Address by Dragi Stojanoski, Director General of the Civil Aviation Agency
Assigning a four-year tenure for managing the Civil Aviation Agency to me represents a real honor, privilege and great pleasure, but also a highest challenge for continues devotion to all my personal, professional and intellectual potential into the increasing of the aspirations of the Macedonian civil aviation into becoming a respectable partner with the modern European and world aviation.
The appointment as a Director General of the highest civil aviation independent regulatory body in the country is a certain confirmation and recognition of the successful established business policy, which I have represented as the holder of several important management positions in CAA over the past 17 years, since my professional engagement.
I am embracing my four-year term with a positive thought and a high degree of enthusiasm, to maintain the Macedonian civil aviation on a pedestal which means a highly developed socio-economic branch. An activity that will represent a real challenge for attracting young people and promising generations.
By creating modern and emerging policies, as well as a functional management strategy in the forthcoming period, we will remain committed to the course of work and progress in providing safe and efficient air transport of people and goods. Improvement of CAA personnel and technical potential. The strengthening of implementation processes and harmonization of domestic with European legislation remain a top priority, clearly defined in the Agency’s strategic determinations and development components. In full constellation and respect for international rules and standards, with a pre-adopted platform, we remain committed to the process of professional training and education of the aviation personnel as in the spirit of the developed technological achievements ae well as by holding regular educational trainings, meetings and workshops, in cooperation and support with our European aviation partners.
At the same time, we will continue to perform our duties highly professional and expert supervision to all entities in the Macedonian aviation industry, thus ensuring orderly, safe, economic and ecologically sustainable air transport in accordance with international rules and standards and available under equal conditions for everyone. The cooperation with the aviation authorities from the countries of the region and beyond continues to be one of the priorities of CAA’s business policy, which will enable efficient and effective integration of the Macedonian aviation transport system in European and global modern aviation trends.
With the strong will and positive energy of all aviation industry stakeholders, we remain committed to strengthening the capacities of the aviation transport network, which on the aviation map every year records hundreds of thousands of airlines, billions of transported passengers and it suits the modern way of social living with developed communication values, transfer of passengers and cargo typical for the 21st century.
